scouts-groupWelcome to the website of the 12th Didcot Scout Group, we are a Scout group based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. We currently run Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts on Ladygrove and Great Western Park.

Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. Through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives.

Scouting helps our young improve their key skills, including social skills, teamwork ability, leadership ability, and confidence. Our varied and exciting programme offers hundreds of activities, from camping and hiking. Young people can also achieve their badges in such diverse subjects as PR, electronics, and entertainment.

Scouting is a unique adventure that’s full of surprises. Join in and see for yourself.

Join one of the sections

We have three sections, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, catering for young people aged from 6 to 14 and at the moment have about 80 your people across all the sections. We currently have a waiting list for most of our sections, if your child is interested in joining please complete our waiting list registration form under the relevant section.

Join the group as a volunteer

Our volunteers also enjoy the benefits of Scouting by learning new skills, making new friends, and enjoying a social life with a purpose. There are hundreds of different volunteer roles on offer, from management positions, running activities to behind-the-scenes roles like driving the minibus or painting and decorating. Please contact us if would like to find out more about becoming a volunteer.
